Provision of Immunisations
Immunisations may be provided by Occupational Health or by your doctor.
Where immunisations are provided by Occupational Health, the following conditions may apply:
- immunisations will be provided in group sessions that occur periodically. There may be some delay associated with waiting for a group session to become available.
- depending on the type of immunisation required, we may need to refer you to an outside provider.
Immunisation may take eight weeks to complete, so it is important to consult your provider well in advance of departure.
Types of Immunisation Provided
We provide vaccinations for prevention of a number of occupationally acquired diseases including:
- Q Fever;
- Hepatitis A and B;
- Tetanus and Whooping Cough (Pertussis);
- Chicken Pox (Varicella).
Please contact the Occupational Health Nurse for further information.
