How to get the most out of your Telehealth appointment

Jo Madgic will the present on the following topics:

  • The GP perspective on how to make the most of the consultation.
  • Getting used to telehealth as it may be here to stay for awhile.
  • Options for seeing a GP during COVID-19. GP’s will still see you face to face, but must abide by clinic and Government guidelines on when a patient can be seen this way.
  • Assisting the GP during the consultation eg: having a torch to help the doctor view your mouth, throat, wound better or Thermometer, BP machine at home (if they have one).
  • Making a list to help you ask the right questions, as sometimes telehealth can be a 'weird' experience if you're not used to Zoom or Teams already.

It is important to continue to see your GP for routine screening tests and any lumps and bumps, to ensure you don’t leave important health conditions unseen.
