Thursday 1st - Friday 30th | Step ChallengeWhich team has the stamina, the energy, the will power to reign supreme? Get your runners on and your feet moving all the way to University bragging rights. How many steps do you take each day? Will you see improvement in your capability over the coming month? Did you know:
What can you achieve? Get your team of 3-5 people together, decide on a team name, nominate a captain and sign up to the October Step Challenge – UoM Health and Safety Team Challenge. Team captains will receive an email each week to add the total steps your team has done. There will be surprise team challenges along the way. | Health & Safety Services Team |
Thursday 1st - Friday 30th | Well-being BingoOctober is a opportunity to focus on your health and well-being. Download a Well-being Bingo card and join us in a series of activities to get you moving and thinking about your health and well-being and maybe even start a new healthy routine. Participates who complete at least six activities and submit their bingo card by Friday 30th will go into the draw to win a $25 Coles Myer gift voucher. There will also be a random prize draw for those who submit photos of their “Be Creative” activity from the Well-being Bingo before midday Friday 30th October. Thursday 1st - Thursday 22nd (5pm) | Photography CompetitionBring a camera (or your mobile phone) your daily walks, stop and take a moment to enjoy something in your neighbourhood that inspires you... then take a photograph of your inspiration. Submit your photo before 5pm Thursday 22nd October to enter the competition. Then cast a vote for your favourite photograph between 27th and 30th October. There will be prizes for the most popular photograph in each of the following categories:

Thursday 1st - Friday 30th | Book of the MonthThe book of the month is The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku, a holocaust survivor shares how he found gratitude, kindness and hope in the darkest of places. Published as Eddie turns 100, this is a powerful, heartbreaking and ultimately hopeful memoir of how happiness can be found even in the darkest of times. Friday 16th 4:30pm | Footy TriviaTrivia fans! Download the Kahoot App onto your phone or iPad so you can participate in the AFL Footy Theme Trivia. A bit of fun and to test AFL knowledge of the lucky first 20 who get in and register to take part. You can use your computer to access Kahoot but it can lag when you are doing the online meeting and every second counts.
