TrainMe was experiencing some difficulty recently causing the system to block users from logging on. It has now been fixed and access to TrainMe is back to normal.

eMarket launched

The new eMarket platform in iProcurement for purchasing laboratory consumables at the University has launched. Browse for all laboratory supplies in the one place, access multiple suppliers and easily compare items across a range of products.  Further information is available on Staff Hub (University username and password required).


Hazardous Waste Collection

A reminder to hazardous waste collection users: the new contractors have different hazardous waste streams depending on lid colour.

The University of Melbourne Influenza Vaccination Program

The influenza program is now live. Information on eligibility, how to book an appointment, FAQs and contacts for further information are all located on Staff Hub.

ERMS Knowledge Base Articles

A number of knowledge base articles aimed at users of the health and safety modules in ERMS have been published in the Staff Service Portal.


Health and Safety Services - Knowledge Base Articles

The Health and Safety Services portal has been updated to include a link to health and safety knowledge base articles (KBAs). Current topics include training and ERMS modules, with additional topics and articles planned to be created over time.

The University of Melbourne Influenza Vaccination Program

The influenza program has now finished. If you missed out on receiving a vaccination during the 2019 program please contact your GP or the University Health Service to discuss your options. Eligible participants will not be reimbursed for any costs associated with externally provided vaccinations.

Hazardous Waste Contractor Rebranded

Daniels Health Services have recently change their name to Cleanaway Daniels Services. There are no changes to current services and arrangements for local users. The name change has already been reflected in iProc. Progressively over the next weeks, all other references in documents and procedures will be updated.

WorkSafe Blitz on Portable Ladders

WorkSafe are checking the use of portable ladders in the construction industry. Whilst the University of Melbourne won’t be included in this program it’s a timely reminder to all our community on the safe use of portable ladders.

Wellness Week - Healthy Mind, Healthy Body

Every October, Victoria celebrates Health and Safety Month. Across the state WorkSafe Victoria organises a range of events, talks and workshops.

The University of Melbourne is celebrating this month by launching Wellness Week - Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, starting Monday 14th October. Join in for your chance to win four $100 book vouchers, calm your mind with meditation or eat fruit and talk about wellness at work and home with the Health & Safety Services team.
