One method the University adopts to consult and communicate health and safety matters is through health and safety committees.
There is the University of Melbourne Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC). There are also budget division health and safety committees and in some cases local consultative health and safety committees.
Occupational Health & Safety Committee
The Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC) is a consultative committee. The committee may make recommendations to the relevant senior officer in accordance with the University's Policy Framework relating to University health and safety policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
The OHSC is serviced by Health and Safety Services, Business Services. Please direct any queries in the first instance to Health and Safety Services.
