October is National Work Safe Month (also referred to as National Safety Month). The Health & Safety Services team within Business Services have organised a range of online presentations, activities and events that are scheduled to run throughout the month.

With the challenge of working from home causing many of us to miss out on incidental exercise (the walks to and from the train station or tram stop, the mid-morning walk to get a coffee, the walk to your next meeting across campus) and as a great team initiative, take part in the Step Challenge with a group of up to five of your colleagues. Test your stamina, energy and will power and take part in an activity that will encourage you to keep fit and be involved in a team challenge.  Which team will reign supreme?

Well-being Bingo has a range of activities to complete over the course of the month. Download your Bingo card and ensure you are submit it by Friday 30th to go into the draw for some amazing prizes.

As the AFL season for 2020 comes to a close this month, you can sign up to take part in the AFL-themed footy trivia via Kahoot – it is open to the first 20 players only and we strongly encourage participants to attend dressed in their favourite footy colours. For those not into football, we'll also be running a Halloween-themed trivia, photography competitions, a Book of the Month bookclub and various recipes posted on Yammer for you to try out at home, and so much more.

From a online Pilates session to the Evolution of the Humble Office Chair there is a wide and varied Calendar of Events for you to take part in. Please ensure you register for all the amazing sessions and webinars that interest you as spaces may be limited (user name and password required to register).

If you have any questions, the Health & Safety Services team has the answers.
