Confined space entry
Confined space entry
Confined space entry guidelines are essential safety protocols designed to protect workers from potential hazards when entering and working in confined spaces. A confined space is an area with limited entry and exit points and is not designed for continuous occupancy. Such spaces may pose risks due to limited ventilation, the presence of hazardous substances, or other dangerous conditions. A space in any vat, tank, pipe, duct, flue, oven, chimney, silo, reaction vessel, container, receptacle, underground sewer, shaft, well, trench, tunnel or other similar enclosed or partially enclosed structure. To ensure safety, the University will need to follow safe guidelines under OHS Regulations (2017) and AS 2865: Confined spaces.
