Occupational health & safety committee (OHSC)
One method that the University adopts to consult and communicate health and safety matters is through the Health and Safety Committees - University of Melbourne Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHSC). There are also budget division health and safety committees and, in some cases, local consultative health and safety committees.

The committee may make recommendations to the relevant senior officer in accordance with the University's Policy Framework relating to University health and safety policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
